Schiphol Airport

Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is 15 km (9 mi) southwest of the city's center and less than 20 minutes by train from Amsterdam Central Station.

It is the biggest airport in the Netherlands, and the fourth largest in Europe. The airport is built as one large terminal split into three large departure halls.

Airlines

Around 90 scheduled airlines connect the airport with direct flights to 270 destinations around the world.

It handles about 48 million passengers a year and is home base to KLM , since 2004 part of Air France-KLM, Martinair and Transavia , and a hub for Delta Air Lines .

There are also a number of low cost or budget airlines which serve Schiphol from mainland Europe.

By train

When arriving at Schiphol Airport the easiest way to get to central Amsterdam is by train. The Dutch Railways

operate passenger train station Schiphol directly underneath the passenger terminal. There are about 7 trains an hour to Amsterdam Central Station.

By taxi
