is a wonderful zoological garden in the centre of Amsterdam. It is the oldest zoo of the Netherlands, founded in 1838, with most of the attractions and wildlife one would expect, and some great surprises.

The Artis zookeepers feed the animals at fixed hours, see schedule below:
10:30 am - European vultures
11:00 am - Butterflies
11:30 am - Sea lions
12:00 pm - Ant-eater at the South-American Pampa
02:00 pm - Pelicans
02:00 pm - Butterflies
02:30 pm - Crocodiles (on Sunday at 12:30 pm)
03:00 pm - Animals of prey (except for Friday)
03:30 pm - Penguins
03:45 pm - Sea lions
