Built between 1900 and 1902, the legendary American Hotel is an important example of architectural Art Nouveau. Its outer graciousness extends to the guest rooms which still feature original stained glass windows, and vanities lined with elegant granite surface.

The Amsterdam American Hotel has its own boat-landing stage on one of the beautiful canals. The hotel facilitates Café Americain , the famous and original Art Deco styled grand-café and restaurant.
