An underground nightclub where dance parties are organised.
The club features a variety of genres, including R&B, hip-hop, Afro, urban, amapiano, house, and dancehall, with the musical style varying depending on the DJ performing each night.
The interior of Club Up is low-ceilinged, rough-edged and not too shiny, with a highlight being the mezzanine that offers a secluded spot with lounges for chilling out in between sessions on the dance floor.
Club Up is part of De Kring - a society for artists, scientists and art-loving members - but has its own entrance on Korte Leidsedwarsstraat 26, a side street from Leidseplein, one of Amsterdam's main nightlife districts.
The club can be reached in 2 ways. Through an inconspicuous door in Korte Leidsedwarsstraat. Or along the other side from Kleine Gartmanplantsoen via a connecting door from the private artists’ society De Kring.
It is close to famous pop podium, club and cultural centre Paradiso and multifunctional cultural centre and concert hall Melkweg.
