Restaurant La Rive, part of the five star Amstel Hotel has presently two stars from the Michelin Restaurant Guide. Its food is excellent, a French Mediterranean cuisine in an original, modern interpretation. Chef Edwin Kats has an 'extraordinary style of cooking' where he conjures up 'sublime dishes' like 'red mullet with risotto al nero' and 'croquettes of salted cod with Belon oysters'. The atmosphere is relaxed. The wine cellar houses more than 3000 bottles. Dress code is expected. There are also six elegant large banqueting rooms, the bar for an informal drink or meal and the terrace with the view on the river for drinks and light meals.
