Openbare Bibliotheek Amsterdam (OBA) - La Place Restaurant

At the 7th floor of the newly built (opened in July 2007) and largest public library in the Netherlands, a new La Place Restaurant opened its doors. It has a viewing terrace overlooking the whole of Amsterdam - probably the best panorama of the city.

Opening hours: 7 days a week from 10-22:00 hrs

Metz & Co

Metz & Co is a department store situated on the corner of Leidsestraat and the Keizersgracht canal. While the store itself is quite 'high end' and expensive there is a modern cafe on the sixth floor which is well worth a visit as it gives some excellent views over all sides of Amsterdam.
