Restaurant Sama Sebo
one of the oldest Indonesian restaurants of the Netherlands
Sama Sebo, located at Amsterdam's most prestigious shopping street, is really THE place to enjoy the original Indonesian Rijsttafel (literally: rice table): prepared in the right way and eaten in the proper manner.
It consists of dryboiled rice and an indefinite number of side dishes, which are seasoned or not, sauces and... chicken.
Restaurant Sama Sebo is one of the oldest and
most famous Indonesian restaurants of the Netherlands. You can lunch or dine à la carte but the specialty is: Rijsttafel.
If you like fish, you may not miss the Ikan Bumbu Bali! Grilled mackerel with hot spicy Balinese sauce, prepared in the traditional Indonesian way. It's not included in the Rijsttafel menu but you can order it as an extra side dish.
Make your table reservation well in advance as most days are fully booked.

Restaurant Sama Sebo exists of 2 differents rooms: a restaurant area and a bodega area. Go for the more romantic and cosy bodega when you're with 2 persons or a small group.
