Cosiness at the Albert Cuyp Market
Amsterdam's Best Market for Everything. The Albert Cuyp market is Amsterdam's largest and busiest market. It is held from Mondays through Saturdays along Albert Cuypstraat, between Van Woustraat and Ferdinand Bolstraat. On busy Saturdays the market attracts more than 40,000 people.
What to buy?
The 100-year-old, open-air street market features nearly 300 vendors selling everything from fruits, vegetables, fish, meats, spices, chocolate, cheese, flowers and plants to clothes, jewelry, shoes, bike accessories, bedding, fabrics and cosmetics.

The emphasis is on food of every description and from every corner of the globe, but clothes and other goods are on sale too, often cheaper than anywhere else. If you want to experience the 'real' Amsterdam at its multi-cultural best, this market is not to be missed.
Very crowded on Saturdays
It can get very crowded on certain days and times. The whole area including the Ferdinand Bolstraat and Ceintuurbaan has many interesting shops.
