Brasserie NeL is situated on the Amstelveld, a beautiful square within the Canal Belt of Amsterdam, in a former church building.
NeL has a large and lovely terrace (open from March to October) surrounded by old plane trees.
Caesar Salad, Pulled duck, Dutch shrimp croquettes, Pasta penne, NeL's Burger, Grilled sandwiches, Burrata, Mackerel, Entrecôte, Curry quinoa, Cheese platter, and more.
NeL is located in the wooden Amstelkerk, which was built in the years 1668-1670 as a temporary church.
Parents with children like to visit NeL because of the nearby playground and on the adjacent Amstelveld children often play football.
Each Monday night (between 21:00 and 01:00) New York-style jazz sessions - the so-called NeL Sessions - with musicians from the Netherlands and abroad are hosted at NeL. A tradition that has existed for 10 years now.
