The former Aalborg Hotel in Amsterdam reopened in February 2016 as a hotel for gamers. The new name is The Arcade Hotel. The hotel is an initiative of Daniel Salmanovich, an avid gamer. The first rooms have already been remodeled; more rooms will follow during 2016 and 2017.

In each room is an Xbox, Nintendo 64, Playstation, NES or Came Cube. Guests can also use loaner handhelds for multi-player adventures in the hotel bar.

If you want a specific game, you can request it at the reception, which has also a library of comic books and board and card games.
