De Koffieschenkerij

Drinking coffee or having a lunch at this historic site is a unique experience. When the weather is fine you could also sit outside in the monastery garden. From the terrace you'll have a great view over Oudezijds Voorburgwal canal.

De Koffieschenkerij ('The Coffee Parlor') is situated in the former sacristy of the Oude Kerk (from 1306), which is the oldest building in the city, in a part that was built in 1515. The walls, the ceiling, the paintings and the floor reminds you that you are in a place that breathes a rich history.

Adjacent to the bar is the Rembrandt Room, where painter Rembrandt van Rijn went banns with Saskia van Uylenburgh in 1634.


Café De Koffieschenkerij serves good coffee, artisan cakes and healthy lunches.
