Location
Bed & Breakfast 23 SouS is located on Oostenburg, one of the 3 Eastern Docklands in Amsterdam, alongside Kattenburg and Wittenburg. The Eastern Docklands, seen from Central Station, stretches eastwards along the banks of Amsterdam's IJ Waterfront.
It is a historic neighbourhood with a mix of old and new architecture. Originally, Oostenburg was an industrial area, home to the VOC (Dutch East India Company) shipyard in the 17th century. Today, it is a residential area with a quiet, almost village-like atmosphere, despite its proximity to Amsterdam's city centre.
Oostenburgergracht offers a scenic view.
