Hotel 717 is located in a monumental canal house from 1810, built by a prosperous sugar merchant. The rear part of the house dates even back to the 17th century.
After a period of skilful renovations, the hotel reopened in November 2022, becoming one of the city's most luxurious boutique hotels.
The monumental building has a beautiful interior, a unique mix of historical art and modern design from 717’s private collection. The building has a unique feel with its fireplaces, ceiling ornaments, monumental doors, marble floor, and stairwell.
Hotel 717 has a high-quality restaurant (Livingroom) on the ground floor. In the 'Living' guests can work, read a book, meet other people or enjoy a luxurious breakfast and all day dining menu, which has been crafted by renowned 3 star Michelin chef Jacob Jan Boerma.
The 23 rooms have been given unique names like Little Jewel (smallest room), Little Crown, Little Prince, Merchant, Grand Merchant, and Grand Heritage (largest room). They are available with garden, city or canal view.
