Amsterdam has many historical and modern towers. Once a year all participating towers open their doors to the public and anyone can admire the unique views of the city from the towers.
This year, more than 40 towers are opening their doors for free as part of Amsterdam 750. From church towers, office towers, residential towers to a lighthouse, unique views can be admired everywhere. Besides the tower openings, there are special activities at various locations.
Each year about 20 towers that are spread across the city, can be climbed.
Bring your binoculars and camera and enjoy the wonderful view from the towers.
Take original, beautiful, funny pictures or make short films during your visit to the participating towers of the Open Tower Day... and participate in the photo and film contest 'Amsterdam Highlights'. You might win a great price!
